About Us
Communication Axess Ability Group is a division of Hancock, Jahn, Lee &
Puckett, LLC. We are committed to providing the highest quality
interpreting/transliterating and advocacy services in the greater Houston,
Premian Basin, Beaumont and McAllen areas of Texas. The company was
founded by an individual who is hard of hearing, a Texas BEI Level IV certified
interpreter and a systems development and integration professional in October of
2001.
Dave Hancock
Dave Hancock has been hard of hearing since birth. He has
experience in working with persons with disabilities beginning in 1987,
primarily those with hearing impairment. Having worked for other service
providers for the disabled, Mr. Hancock's desire to provide the highest quality
communication access services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing resulted in the
establishment of Communication Axess Ability Group. He serves as the
organization's president.Jerry Jahn
Jerry Jahn has over thirty years of experience working with financial
systems development, business process analysis, systems migration and conversion
support projects primarily for new systems implementation, mergers and
acquisitions. Mr. Jahn has experience in a variety of industry disciplines
most recently with the insurance and financial industry. He oversees the
company's accounting, financial and communications systems. He holds his
Certified Information Systems Auditor designation (CISA, non-practicing).
Rita Lee
Rita Lee is a Level IV and Court Certified interpreter. Ms. Lee has
over twenty years experience in interpreting for the deaf. She is an
evaluator for the Board of Evaluation for Interpreters under Texas DARS - DHHS.
She is widely known and respected in the deaf and hard of hearing community as a
result of active participation in social, political and cultural events in the
community. Ms. Lee conducts the outreach and development efforts of the
company and coordinates the VRS call center.
Everett Puckett
Everett Puckett joined the company in July 2003 and manages the company's
daily operations. He is primarily involved in coordinating new
acquisitions, expanding existing services, and authoring our grants and
proposals. Mr. Puckett has worked in rehabilitation center management for
more than twenty years.
